Bethel Lutheran Church is affiliated with the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA), Southern Ohio Synod. We are a Christian denomination serving the Tri-State area including the Cities of Ashland, Catlettsburg and Russell in Kentucky, Huntington in West Virginia, and Ironton in Ohio. We are located at 1351 Diederich Blvd (Ky State Route 693) about one mile south of US 23 in Russell, Kentucky.

We are a small congregation but are big in heart. We love to have visitors and treat everyone as family. So please come and visit us any Sunday for good fellowship and receive an inspirational message from Pastor Staker.

Our Vision For Ministry: “Empowered and guided by the Holy Spirit, we seek to reach out to all people, with the Love of God, and in the name of Jesus Christ, so that all may hear of Him, all may know Him, all may walk with Him, and all may serve Him.”

Our Lutheran Liturgy: Our service traces its roots into the early Church. The liturgy uses Bible passages, many of which are set to music. The worship order is regular, responsive, inspiring and expresses God's forgiveness, love, joy and presence. We Stand to honor God.

The Creeds: The Apostles' and Nicene Creeds are statements of faith summarizing the major teachings of the Bible, and are part of the faith of the Lutheran Church. The term “catholic church” used in the creeds means “universal” or “entire.” We believe that all Christians of whatever denomination are part of the Body of Christ.
